Bronze Karagam: Karagam is a bronze pot which is usually carried on the head. They are all detachable- so that they can pour milk in each container. Then there are these spikes protruding outside from the sides which are all flower decked- so it becomes a huge pot which will be carried on the head to be offered to the goddess Amman, Mariamman, etc. local village goddesses. In this one, there is a seated Amman with a snake over her head right on the top. They are connected to village mythology and local Tamil worshiping traditions.
